Sea Dogs streak extends to five with win over B-Mets

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (NEWS CENTER) - Travis Shaw and Shannon Wilkerson each homered as the Portland Sea Dogs extended their win streak to five after a 7-4 victory Binghamton.

First baseman Shaw finished with two hits and two runs as did catcher Blake Swihart. Mookie Betts was the other Sea Dog to have a multi-hit contest and in the process extending his on-base streak to 44 games.

Staff ace Henry Owens improved to 3-0 after allowing three runs (two earned), four hits and four walks while striking out three Met batters. Miguel Celestino pitched a perfect ninth to notch his first save of the season.

Portland improved to an Eastern League best 11-4.
