UNE women's rugby makes history, sets record against Rugby

UNE rugby first home game

(NEWS CENTER) -- Things did not go as planned for the University of New England women's rugby team on the field, but there was still plenty to be proud of.

The Nor'easters hosted their first-ever home varsity game against Harvard on Saturday.

The Crimson rolled to a 54-0 win in front of a record-setting UNE crowd of 430 people.

That attendance total is a new record for a collegiate women's varsity rugby game.
