FREEPORT, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Downtown Freeport was decked out in pumpkins Saturday. Halloween lovers and supporters of Camp Sunshine came out to carve pumpkins, play games and listen to some great music. The event is a major fundraiser for Camp Sunshine, which provides fun, respite and hope for children with life-threatening illnesses.
The goal was to have 10,000 pumpkins carved and lit up along the streets and LL Bean's Freeport campus.
WCSH6 chose the Pumpkin Festival for this year's Make A Difference Day beneficiary. Several employees of the station volunteered at the event.
