PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - Pets are often the forgotten element innatural disasters.A group in Saco is trying to helppets affectedby the Sandyhurricane.

Sharon Binette and Jeanne Labonte of Paw-Zn-Around Doggy Daycare in Saco are organizing a collection to send. The supplies will be going to a fire department in New Jersey.

Drop off Pet items by 5pm on Friday, Nov 16 at Paw-Zn-Around, 8 New County Road (Route 5) in Saco

They say the list of the greatest needs are:
Wet & Dry dog food
Dog Treats
Wet & Dry cat food
Paper Towels
Dog and Cat toys
To donate money go to and click on the Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund. 100% of monies raised will go directly to disaster relief in the areas affected by the storm.
