PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - Pets are often the forgotten element innatural disasters.A group in Saco is trying to helppets affectedby the Sandyhurricane.

Sharon Binette and Jeanne Labonte of Paw-Zn-Around Doggy Daycare in Saco are organizing a collection to send. The supplies will be going to a fire department in New Jersey.

Drop off Pet items by 5pm on Friday, Nov 16 at Paw-Zn-Around, 8 New County Road (Route 5) in Saco

Wet & Dry dog food
Dog Treats
Wet & Dry cat food
Towels
Sheets
Bedding
Paper Towels
Bleach
Leashes
Collars
Dog and Cat toys
Money
To donate money go to www.animalwelfaresociety.org and click on the Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund. 100% of monies raised will go directly to disaster relief in the areas affected by the storm.
