LEBANON, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - One person was rushed to the hospital after a shooting Tuesday afternoon in the York County town of Lebanon.

According to a media release from the Lebanon Rescue Department, emergency crews were called to a home around 1:45 PM Tuesday. The York County Sheriff's Department says that home is located at 11 Second Street in Lebanon.

The York County Sheriff's Office says the victim, whose name has not yet been revealed, is a man in his early 40s.

The Sheriff's Department says the State Police have been called in to help with the investigation.

Lebanon Rescue says that a patient was taken by ambulance to Skydive New England in Lebanon where first responders met with a Life Flight Helicopter.

The patient was then taken to Maine Medical Center's Trauma Center in Portland. The victim is in serious condition.

NEWS CENTER spoke with an employee of the Big Lots store in Rochester, NH. The employee says that police recovered a car that was involved with the shooting in the Big Lots parking lot. State Police Spokesman Steve McCausland says that car belongs to the victim.
