Uniondale, NY (Sports Network) - Bobby Sanguinetti's first career goal proved to be the winner as the Carolina Hurricanes rallied for a 4-2 win over the New York Islanders on Sunday.

Jordan Staal and Alexander Semin each posted a goal and an assist while Eric Staal also scored for the Hurricanes, who snapped a three-game losing streak. Cam Ward made 23 saves in the win.

John Tavares and Matt Moulson each posted a goal and an assist for the Islanders, who had won two straight and four of six coming in. Kevin Poulin gave up three goals on 27 shots in the loss.
