SALIDA, California (KCRA) -A Salida, California family stepped up home security efforts after its house was broken into; and when it happened again, the incident was all caught on tape.

The burglaries come as the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department says property crime is a growing problem in the region.

After the Godinas' Salida home was broken into in November, relatives invested in an ADT Security System, complete with a motion-activated surveillance video camera.

But despite signs that the home was protected, it was invaded again last week.

"This time, they took whatever jewelry I had left, they took more electronics and they took the whole safe with our documents, passports (and) social security cards," Maria Godina said.
