PORTLAND, Oregon (KGW) -- A would-be armed robber thought he could get some quick cash Tuesday afternoon. What he didn't count on was a fearless clerk and some loyal customers who weren't going to let it happen.

The robber, wearing a ski cap and sunglasses walked into Nick's Double-Up Deli in Portland, Oregan.

The store clerk who would only go by the name Guan, said the man came around the counter brandishing this gun.

"The only thing he yelled was, 'Give me the money,'" the victim said. But the tides quickly changed when a female customer walked in, startling the robber, who hide the gun behind his back.

With the robber distracted, Guan reached for the gun. The two struggled. Customers in another room heard Guan yelling, and came out to help.
