Carrabassett Valley (NEWS CENTER) - Two-time Olympic gold medalist Seth Wescott helped start the Sugarloaf Banked Slalom three years ago. Now, he's finally won it.

After a third place finish in 2011 and missing the 2012 race due to injury, the Farmington native beat fellow World Cup snowboarder Alex Tuttle and defending champion Ryan Flynn for the title.

The victory comes six weeks after he won the Legendary Banked Slalom in Mt. Baker Washington. The event is the longest-running snowboard slalom in the country.

15-year old Lindsay Stewart of Cape Elizabeth won her second straight women's title.
