BRUNSWICK, Georgia (WTLV) -- Family members of the two Brunswick, Georgia teens accused of shooting a mother and baby are saying that the boys are innocent.
For the first time today, both teenagers accused of killing a 13-month-old baby in Brunswick appeared in court.
"He a baby, but he's not a baby killer, so they need to get that straight, he is not a baby killer," said the grandmother of the 15-year-old in custody in the shooting death of a Brunswick toddler.
The grandmother and mother of a 15-year-old juvenile whose identity has not been released said they don't know what happened the day of the shooting, but that their teenager is not responsible for the death of 13-month-old Antonio Santiago.
17-year-old Demarquise Elkins was also arrested and charged with first degree murder. The 15-year-old's grandmother said her grandson doesn't know Elkins.
"He don't know the other boy, we don't know him. Who's the other boy, we don't know him, my grandson walks by himself, we don't know this boy," said the grandmother.
