DYER BROOK, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - State Police say they have arrested a man for unlawful sexual touching of a woman he was counseling.
65-year-old John Walker, of Dyer Brook, was arrested at his home Friday night and charged with unlawful sexual touching.
Police say he met the 30-year-old victim at the Aroostook County Jail in Houlton where he had clergy visitation rights, and she had been visiting her boyfriend who was in jail. Walker had been providing "spiritual counseling" to her at his home when the advance happened.
Officials say that while he might be associated with a church in the area, they say it's unclear if he was ever ordained. He is currently free on bail and is expected in Houlton District Court in May.
