(NEWS CENTER) - FairPoint Communications says it is adjusting it's workforce to remain competitive.

The communications provider today announced it's cutting 90 positions across Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont over the next several months.

That's in addition to the more than 30 management positions the company did away with last month.

Fairpoint says it expects to provide severance or incentive payments to eligible employees, but says these job cuts will save the company $11 million a year.
