SEAL COVE, Maine (NEWS CENTER) ---The Maine Warden Servicesays one manhas died and another man remains missing after a small boat capsized on Mount Desert Island sometime Wednesday.

The boat was found overturned on Long Pondat some point on Thursday. The pond is located not far from Seal Harbor on Mount Desert Island.

A game warden later discovered the body of 67-year-old Richard Weimer of Charlton, Massachusetts floating near it. Weimer had been fishing with his friend Corey Farley of Seal Cove in the boat.

The twowere last seen on the pond around 3 p.m. Wednesday. Farley still has not been found. The warden service called in a dive team to help with the searchThursday afternoon. They were assisted by park rangers from Acadia National Park,the U.S. Coast Guardand local police.

"We're using side-scan sonar which is mounted to the bow of the warden service boat," said Sgt. David Craven of the Maine Warden Service, "That shows pictures of the bottom of the see if there are any anomalies or what they call targets or points of interest that they could put a diver down to take a better look at. We also utilized the warden service aircraft."

Responders suspended the search for Farley early Thursday evening. They plan to resume it on Friday.
