LOUDON, N.H. (NEWS CENTER) - Steve Letarte and Slugger Labbe grew up as friends amongst racing families in Southern Maine. So, it's only fitting that every race at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway is a family reunion for the both of them.

Even with their road to the top in NASCAR leading them to North Carolina, they still haven't lost their Maine ties.

For Saco native Labbe, the crew chief for Paul Menard's #27 car, much of his family still lives in the Pine Tree State.

As for Cornish born Letarte, Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s #88 crew chief, he still has extended family as well as legions of fans and followers via social media.

Both are trying to break a lengthy drought at the "Magic Mile." Earnhardt Jr. hasn't won since June of 2012, while Menard's last and only win in the Sprint Cup came in July of 2011.
