BIDDEFORD, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- On a hot summer day-- it's probably safe to say that students aren't thinking about going back to school anytime soon, but the United way of York county is doing just that.

The organization is stuffing the bus-- collecting notebooks, pens, rulers, and other supplies to make sure children are prepared to go back to school this fall.

With school budget cuts-- many districts are finding it tough to purchase all of the supplies needed. This campaign is hoping to provide hundreds of students in Southern Maine with backpacks fully loaded of everything they might need.
