WINDHAM, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - It was a dramatic crash in Windham Tuesday night, but no one was hurt.
A tractor trailer truck traveling on Route 302 clipped some low wires holding up traffic signs. The truck took down the wires hanging over the road near Walgreens and Dunkin Donuts. The poles holding up the wires gave way, landing on a police cruiser.
The wires weren't electrified.
Traffic in the area was held up while authorities cleaned up the mess.
Windham Police say the wires are owned by the town and they'll hire a contractor to replace them Wednesday.
