(NEWS CENTER) -- Emotions are running high - both on Capitol Hill and across the country - as the second business day of the federal shutdown comes to an end. And much of the anger is focused on congress.

Sen. Susan Collins was the target of a scathing column in the Portland Press Herald, while Sen. Angus King has been singled out for a remark he made to a reporter.
