CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida (WESH) More than 7,000 people are back on the job at Central Florida's largest federal workplace: the Kennedy Space Center.

They're finding that 16 days of forced inactivity will be costly.

Beyond the obvious cost of paying workers to stay home, leaders said delays on projects that are underway will mean cost overruns.
