Luxembourg City, Luxembourg (SportsNetwork.com) - Former world No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki topped Annika Beck in the final of the Luxembourg Open on Sunday.
The top-seeded Wozniacki cruised past Beck 6-2, 6-2 to claim her first title of 2013.
Wozniacki, the 2008 Luxembourg runner-up, won a tournament for the first time since last October in Moscow. The Dane played in her second final of 2013 and first since losing to Maria Sharapova in Indian Wells. She improved to 21-13 all-time in title matches.
Beck appeared in a WTA final for the first time. The 19-year-old German's best previous result this year was a semifinal loss to Roberta Vinci in Poland back in April.
Sunday's meeting was the first between Wozniacki and Beck.
Wozniacki collected $44,000 with the victory.
