BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Brunswick Police Department reports an armed robbery took place at the Big Apple, at 111 Pleasant St.

Police say two suspects, a male and female, entered the store at approximately 10:43PM Friday night, displayed a handgun and demanded cash. The report states the clerk turned over an undisclosed amount of money. The suspects also attempted to rob a female customer, however were scared off before obtaining any money from her.

The department describes the male suspect as 5'6" to 5'8", 240-260lbs., wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with three white stripes down the sleeves, black pants and white sneakers; he also had a bandana covering his face.

They say the female is described as 5'04" to 5'06" 220-240 lbs., wearing a red hooded winter coat, bare legs, and white sneakers. She too had a bandana over her face.

Both suspects are believed to be white.
