FRYEBURG, Maine - The Fryeburg Police Department is urging East Fryeburg residents to be "hyper vigilant" after a third home invasion occurred early Saturday morning.

Police say burglars forcibly entered a home on Sanborn Road in Fryeburg between 6A and 7A through a basement window. The intruders entered the first floor of the home when the residents heard noises and went downstairs to find doors open and her purse and vehicle keys missing.

The home owner told police she suspects she interrupted the theft and just missed the suspects.

Investigators say they have gathered physical evidence from the crime scene and believe at this time that this case is related to the other home invasions on Elkins Brook Road and the Harvest Hills Animal Shelter Burglary.

Fryeburg Police ask anyone with information about any of these incidents contact Detective Sergeant Joshua Potvin at 207-935-3323 reference case number 13-178-OF.
