(NEWS CENTER) -- Governor Paul LePage got some attention this week for a comment he made at a conference on Maine's transportation future.

He was pointing out that while global warming is viewed as a big problem, Maine could benefit from it in the short term because warmer ocean waters in the arctic have opened up a new shipping route between the North Atlantic and the Pacific.
