ROCHESTER, Minnesota (KTTC) -- A singing fish may have stopped someone attempting to break into a Rochester, Minnesota business.

Tom Allen owns Hooked on Fishing.

He said he left his business after 4:30 p.m. Sunday and believes someone tried to break into the business that evening.

WhenAllen arrived the next day the door was open. He said that didn't worryhim because he thought an employee had arrived before him.

But it was Billy Bass on the store floor that raised some concern.

"WhenI saw Billy Bass on the floor I knew something was really up," Allensaid. "And when I tried to close the door and it wouldn't close at all Ijust knew that Billy Bass had done his job, and let somebody know thatit wasn't just empty or something."

The door was damaged during the attempted burglary, but nothing was stolen from the business.

The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office said there was about $700 in damage to the door.

Allen said he expects a new door to be installed on Tuesday.
