DOVER-FOXCROFT, Maine (NEWS CENTER) --After deliberating nearly seven hours, a jury deadlocks on whether Wendy Farley of Brownville tried to hire a man to kill her husband.

From the states perspective this was simply put, Farley's plan. They pointed at a 39 minute recording between her and the man she allegedly tried to hire, Mike Anderson. Anderson went to the police and agreed to wear a wire for that conversation.

In it, Farley admits she wants to have her husband 'taken care of',she wants him gone, and she makes multiple suggestions to Anderson on how to do it.

The defense argued the tape was notcredible. They said Farley was simply playing a game in the exchange and never acted to move this 'plan' forward beyond talk.

The jury considered the case for about seven hours before telling the judge they were hopelessly deadlocked.

A mistrial was declared. No word on whether prosecutors will attempt to retry Farley.
