BAR HARBOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Former Bar Harbor Police Chief Nate Young confirmed to NEWS CENTER on Tuesday that he has filed suit against the town of Bar Harbor.
Young was fire from the position back in January after being suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol. In February, Young appealed the town's decision during a public hearing, but town council voted 5-2 against his reinstatement.
Young says there is evidence of predetermined outcomes from some of the council members.
He's filing suit in an effort to be reinstated as Police Chief of Bar Harbor. He's also looking to be awarded financial and other damages to be 'fair and equitable.'
