WINDHAM, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Getting outdoors in this kind of weather for a walk or a hike is something many of us enjoy... for many disabled veterans, however, it's impossible because their wheelchairs can't make it over the rough terrain. But, there's a new kind of chair out there that's getting the job done, and it's helping one Army veteran with more than just his mobility.

Meet Maurice Levine... an Army veteran from Georgia who's experiencing Maine for the first time, something he's able to do now with his new ride.

Living up to its name, the Zoom Uphill does just that. And it's changed Levine's life.

His love for the outdoors was cut short when injuries he sustained serving in Afghanistan, limited his mobility.

The Independence Fund has provided hundreds of all-terrain vehicles to disabled veterans. Levine says the zoom was given to him for free.
