EASTON, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Maine State Police said a motor vehicle struck a horse drawn carriage in Easton.
22-tear-old Zachary Jones, of Easton was traveling west on the Conant Road when he crested the top of a hill and did not see the horse drawn carriage on the shoulder of the westbound travel lane. Jones attempted to avoid the carriage but struck the back corner and rear wheel. Jones skidded across the eastbound lane and back onto the roadway where he came to rest. The horse drawn carriage was driven by 19-year-old John Miller. The carriage had four passengers besides Miller, 16-year-old Noah Glick, 41-year-old Lydiann Miller, 47-year-old Naomi Glick and 18-year-old Ada Miller.
There were no injuries as a result of this crash.
