SACO, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- When it comes to fashions, old trends often come full circle, but what about if those fashions date back 200 years? The Saco Museum's newest exhibit of Maine fashions could hold the answer to that question.
The exhibit has around 50 outfits on display dating as far back as 1750. It shows not only how trends have changed, but also how Maine men and women had no problem keeping up with them. Each outfit comes with a description of the year range it represents and where it came from. Executive Director of the Saco Museum, Leslie Rounds, and many others worked extremely hard to put the display together.
"We thought that people would enjoy seeing how clothing has evolved over the past 200 years in northern New England and how clothing has influenced life just like life has influenced clothing," said Rounds.
The exhibit of Maine fashions at the Saco Museum will run through May 3rd. Admission is $5, but is free to the public on Fridays from 4-8pm.
