BIDDEFORD, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Ayla Reynolds was reported missing in 2011. Friday, she would have been four years-old. Her mother, Trista Reynolds held a vigil today, and she says it will be her last public event.

Trista's friends and family came to Mechanic Park in Biddeford to celebrate Ayla's life. Ayla was reported missing by her father, Justin DiPietro, on December 17th 2011. Police say based on evidence, they believe the child is dead, and they think DiPietro, his sister, and his then girlfriend know more about what happened to the child than they are saying.

Trista Reynolds has held several public events for Ayla over the years, demanding answers and justice for her daughter. She says it's time to work privately now to get the justice she has been waiting for.

"It's not like I'm giving up on her because even though I'm not here doing vigils for everyone to come to, I still take like a big portion of my day to celebrate Ayla," Trista Reynolds said. "But there's also just other things that I need to really need to be more focused on right now, especially to get the justice for Ayla that I've been looking to get for the past two years."
