BIDDEFORD, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- State Police have identified the man who shot two men in Biddeford July 6. 34-year-old Fuquan Prince Wilson is from the Bronx, New York.

Police say his street name is "P." Wilson has a long criminal history in New York - mainly drug charges. Wilson is described as 5'9" and 170 pounds with brown hair and green eyes. He also has a tattoo on his neck that reads "Ruthy."

An arrest warrant has been issued for Wilson, charging him with possession of a firearm by a felon. Detectives believe it's unlikely that he is still in Maine.

State Police say the shootings were drug-related, and they have asked to Maine Drug Enforcement Agency to assist in the investigation. Detectives say that the two men shot and killed - 42-year-old Russell Lavoie of Old Orchard Beach and 37-year-old Jeffrey Lude of Biddeford - came to the house armed with a pellet gun and a rubber mallet to assault Wilson and likely steal drugs.

"Apparently to commit a robbery. A struggle ensued once inside the apartment with Fuquan Wilson who was in possession of a firearm at the time. Wilson began firing at Lavoie and Lude striking them each with multiple gunshots", said Lt. Brian McDonough of the Maine State Police.

In addition to the three men, there were four other people in the apartment at the time of the shooting - including 55-year-old Donald Corkran, who rents the building. McDonough says Corkran allowed Wilson to stay with him.

All of those present in the apartment have been interviewed by police except for Wilson.

Biddeford and State Police continue to investigate the shooting, and no final decisions have been made regarding charges.
