Boston beat Detroit 4-1 to tie the series at 1-1

BOSTON, Massachusetts (NEWS CENTER)-- After being shut out in game one of the Stanley Cup playoff series with the Detroit, the Bruins scored two goals in the first period of game two and went on to beat the Red Wings 4-1.

Justin Florek and Reilly Smith were responsible for two the first period goals. Milan Lucic added another point to the tally in the second, and Zdeno Chara found the back of the net in the third.

The series is tied at 1-1. Game three is scheduled for Tuesday evening at 7:30 in Detroit.
