UMaine says Bussey suspended for "violating team rules"

ORONO, Maine (NEWS CENTER)-- With the regular season winding down and the post season on the line, the Black Bears' infield is going to have to do a bit of adjusting. NEWS CENTER has learned that Sophomore Shane Bussey has been removed from the team.

The University says Bussey has been suspended indefinitely due to a violation of team rules. The school would not comment on what the specific violation was.

Bussey hit .250 through 35 games with 13 RBIs for the black bears. He was not in the line up for Maine's last three games at Stony Brook.
