LOUISVILLE, Ky. – If you are planning your Kentucky Derby viewing – and partying – minute by minute, here is the ET timeline provided by Churchill Downs:
6:01 p.m.—Derby horses in the saddling paddock.
6:08 p.m. – Jockeys walk to the paddock.
6:15 p.m. – Jockeys get the their "Rider's Up" cue from basketball great Julius "Dr. J" Erving.
6:16.30 p.m. – "My Old Kentucky Home" performed by University of Louisville marching band and choir.
6:18.30 p.m. – Post parade
6:30 p.m. Horses begin loading into the starting gate.
6:32 p.m. – And they're off.
Unofficially, you'll know about two minutes later whether to celebrate.
