Veteran crew chief Steve Letarte and new driver Austin Theriault find common bond on NASCAR team

LOUDON, New Hampshire (NEWS CENTER) -- As one Mainer prepares to leave the NASCAR scene, another is just breaking in.

Steve Letarte is a native of Cornish and is the crew chief for Dale Earnhardt Jr. After 20 years in the business, he has decide to leave NASCAR for a job at NBC Sports when this season is over.

Letarte's team has a new member: Austin Theriault of Fort Kent, who has a three race deal with JR Motorsports. He will be driving the number 5 car in the Nationwide Cup Series race on Saturday at Loudon.

Jessica Gagne caught up with both Mainers on Friday as they prepared for the weekend ahead.
