ORONO, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - Hours after becoming an undrafted rookie free agent, University of Maine tight end Justin Perillo signed a contract with the Green Bay Packers.
Perillo was named to the Associated Press FCS All-America third team in 2013 after catching 39 passes for 490 yards and four touchdowns. He was also a two-time first-team All-Colonial Athletic Association honoree.
In 44 games with UMaine, Perillo had 128 receptions for 1,318 yards and 15 touchdowns.
He was the second Black Bear to join an NFL team on Saturday after his former teammate cornerback Kendall James was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the sixth round (184th overall).
