A quiet weekend is in store for the area. Our next storm system moves through late Monday into Tuesday. High temperatures will stay above average or right at average the next seven days.
An area of low pressure will develop and move into our region later into Monday and early Tuesday morning. Right now, we're looking at a mixed bag of precipitation. I think the mountains of Western Maine, will see some more snow accumulation than others. It's looking to be great news for ski resorts! Some areas in the interior sections of Maine will see a changeover from snow to freezing rain and snow. Coastal sections will probably see a rain/snow mix and change over to all rain throughout the day, Tuesday. Anyway you look at it, it will be a messy day.
The forecast could still change through the weekend. Be sure to stick with us for the latest updates on air, online, and on our apps!
Once we get through Tuesday, the weather quiets back down again, with a few more bouts of sun by late week.
